Ringworm is a common fungal skin infection that can sometimes become difficult to treat, especially if it has been present for a long time, spreads to multiple areas, or if medicines are stopped too early. Even though you are already taking Fungikem 200 and applying Eberconazole cream, a complete cure depends not only on medicines but also on proper skin care and preventing reinfection. Continue taking and applying the medicines exactly as prescribed by your doctor, because fungal infections often need several weeks of regular treatment even after the itching and rash improve. Do not stop treatment suddenly once the skin looks better, as the infection can return easily. Keep the affected areas clean and dry, avoid tight clothing, change undergarments daily, and dry the skin properly after bathing or sweating. Avoid scratching the rash and do not share towels, clothes, or bedding with others, as ringworm can spread through contact. Also, avoid using steroid-containing creams without medical advice, because they may temporarily reduce redness but often make fungal infections more stubborn and widespread. If the infection keeps recurring despite treatment, your doctor may need to check for factors such as diabetes, low immunity, excessive sweating, or infection in family members that may be causing reinfection. Sometimes additional tests or a change in antifungal medicine may be needed. With proper treatment, hygiene, and patience, most ringworm infections can be controlled and completely cured over time.
