Rashes and inflammation on the scrotum are very common and usually easily treatable. They are often caused by fungal infections, sweat irritation, or contact dermatitis. Keep the area clean, dry, and wear loose cotton underwear. For a suspected fungal infection, an over-the-counter antifungal cream containing clotrimazole or miconazole can help. If it is due to simple allergic irritation, a mild hydrocortisone cream may reduce inflammation.
