It is quite common for 6-month-old babies to go a few days without a bowel movement, but you can try gently massaging their tummy or moving their legs in a cycling motion to encourage digestion. If your baby seems distressed, has a firm tummy, or the delay lasts more than 5 days, it is best to consult your paediatrician to rule out any underlying issues before giving any medication.
