I am using Glimestar PM 1 for my diabetes, but my blood sugar levels are still high. Should I continue this medicine, or do I need a different treatment?

High blood sugar despite taking Glimestar-PM can happen for several reasons. Diabetes may gradually progress over time, and factors like irregular meals, stress, poor sleep, lack of physical activity, weight changes, or unhealthy eating habits can also affect sugar control. Sometimes the current dose or medication combination may no longer be enough for your body. Instead of stopping or changing the medicine on your own, it is better to get your recent fasting sugar, post-meal sugar, and HbA1c reviewed by your doctor. These reports help decide whether the same treatment should be continued, the dose adjusted, or another medicine added. Proper timing of meals and medicines is also very important in diabetes management. Try to reduce sugary foods, soft drinks, white flour items, and overeating at night. Regular walking, weight control, good sleep, stress management, and consistent meal timings can help improve sugar levels naturally, along with treatment. Inform your doctor if your sugar remains persistently high or if you notice blurred vision, excessive thirst, frequent urination, numbness, or unusual weakness.
