My fasting sugar is 187, and post-meal sugar is 247, and my urine fasting sugar is also showing 1. I am currently taking Glycomet Trio 2 in the morning, but my sugar levels are still high. Do I need a different medicine or a dose change?

Your fasting and post-meal sugar readings are higher than the usual target range, which suggests that your diabetes is not fully controlled right now. Glycomet Trio 2 may help manage blood sugar, but diabetes control can still become difficult because of irregular meals, stress, poor sleep, reduced physical activity, infections, or gradual progression of the condition over time. Sugar appearing in urine usually happens when blood sugar remains high for a long period. A change in medicine or dose may sometimes be needed, but the decision should be based on HbA1c levels, kidney function, diet, weight, and your complete sugar record. Your doctor may review all these factors before deciding whether to continue the same treatment or adjust it. Avoid increasing or changing medicines on your own because it may lead to sudden low sugar episodes or other problems. Balanced meals, regular walking, avoiding sugary foods and late-night eating, staying hydrated, and taking medicines at the correct time may support better sugar control naturally. Talk to your doctor if your sugar levels remain high or if you notice excessive thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, numbness, or unusual tiredness.
