I am 2-3 months pregnant and experiencing frequent vomiting. What can I do to control it?

Frequent vomiting in early pregnancy (2-3 months) is very common and usually due to hormonal changes, often called morning sickness, but it can be managed with simple steps. Try eating small, frequent meals instead of large ones, choose bland foods like toast, rice, or crackers, avoid spicy, oily, or strong-smelling foods, and sip fluids regularly (such as water, coconut water, or oral rehydration solutions) to stay hydrated. Getting enough rest, eating a small snack before getting out of bed, and using natural remedies like ginger or lemon may also help reduce nausea. If needed, your doctor may prescribe safe anti-nausea medicines such as Doxylamine-pyridoxine. However, if vomiting is severe, you are unable to keep food or fluids down, feel very weak, or lose weight, it could indicate Hyperemesis gravidarum (a severe form of pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting), and you should seek medical care promptly for proper treatment.
