Why does my 11-year-old son still have a persistent high fever (ranging from 100?F to 102.5?F) and body aches since November 7th, even though his malaria and dengue tests are negative, his inflammation levels are only slightly high, and he is taking his prescribed medications, Grenil, Zanocin, and P650?
Since malaria and dengue tests are negative and his inflammation is only slightly elevated, it is possible he has a viral illness, which does not respond to antibiotics like Zanocin (ofloxacin). Also, please note that both Grenil and P650 contain paracetamol; we must ensure he isn't getting too much of this ingredient. I highly recommend consulting his pediatrician again to review these medications and see if a different treatment or further evaluation is needed. Keep encouraging plenty of fluids and rest.
