I am getting a dry cough almost every night at bedtime. How can I manage it?
A dry cough that occurs mainly at bedtime is often caused by post-nasal drip, allergies, or acid reflux. To manage it, try elevating your head while sleeping, using a humidifier, avoiding allergens, and not eating heavy or spicy meals before bed. Staying hydrated and using throat lozenges or warm fluids may also help soothe irritation. If the cough persists or worsens, or is accompanied by symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, or chest pain, you should consult a doctor to identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
