I tested positive for Hepatitis A. Is it a dangerous disease, and what medicines should I take?

Hepatitis A is generally not a dangerous or chronic disease; most people recover fully within a few weeks without permanent liver damage. There are no specific antiviral medicines to treat it. Management focuses on supportive care: get plenty of rest, stay well-hydrated, and eat small, simple meals. Crucially, avoid alcohol and consult your doctor before taking any over-the-counter medications (especially acetaminophen/Tylenol), as your liver needs rest to heal. Seek immediate medical care if you experience persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, or worsening yellowing of your skin or eyes.
