I had itching and burning with white discharge 2years back and consulted a gynaec and came to know it is candidiasis vulvoginitis. I was recommeded to use candid B cream for 10days and suppository for 7days for the 1st time. Then after i again got recurrent infections, went again to consult and was recommended to use fluconazole tab 1 tablet weekly for 2 weeks , candid b cream for 10days and probiotic & prebiobic tablet for 1 month. now after 3.5months i again got the infection. Why this is recurrent? what medication to use to stop this for ever?I am really tired of this.

Have a query?

You had symptoms of itching, burning, and white discharge two years ago, diagnosed as candidiasis vulvovaginitis, initially treated with Candid B cream and suppositories. Due to recurrent infections, treatment was escalated to include weekly fluconazole tablets for two weeks, repeated use of Candid B cream, and probiotics.
Candid B cream contains two active ingredients: Clotrimazole, an antifungal that stops fungal growth by damaging fungal cell membranes, and Beclometasone, a corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching by blocking inflammatory chemical messengers.
This cream is used topically to treat fungal infections like candidiasis vulvovaginitis by eliminating the fungus and relieving symptoms such as itching, burning, redness, and inflammation.
Common side effects include itching, dryness, redness, and burning at the application site. Allergic reactions are possible, and caution is advised if you have adrenal gland issues, eye conditions, liver disease, or other skin infections. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
It is important to continue follow-up with your gynecologist to manage recurrent infections effectively and discuss any concerns about treatment or side effects.
