I am experiencing severe headache and muscle pain after taking Human Mixtard 70/30. Could this be a side effect of the insulin?

Severe headache and muscle pain may sometimes occur after taking Human Mixtard 70/30, but these symptoms are not always directly caused by the insulin itself. One common reason is low blood sugar, especially if meals are delayed, skipped, or if the insulin dose is higher than needed. Low sugar levels may also cause sweating, dizziness, shakiness, weakness, blurred vision, or confusion. Muscle pain and headache may also happen due to dehydration, viral infections, stress, electrolyte imbalance, or uncontrolled diabetes. In rare cases, some people may develop sensitivity or an allergic reaction to insulin, which may include swelling, rash or body aches. You should check your blood sugar levels during these episodes and note whether the symptoms improve after eating or drinking something sweet. Do not stop insulin on your own, as this may lead to dangerously high blood sugar levels. If the headache is severe, persistent, or accompanied by fever, breathing difficulty, or very low blood sugar, seek medical attention promptly. A doctor may need to review your insulin dose, diet, and overall diabetes control.
