I experience itching on both sides of my scrotum after eating sweets, and a burning sensation in my stomach after eating spicy food. What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do?
Your symptoms may be due to two different conditions. The burning in your stomach after spicy food is commonly caused by acidity or gastritis, where stomach acid irritates the lining of the stomach. Itching on both sides of the scrotum after eating sweets may be due to skin irritation or a mild fungal infection, which can worsen in warm, sweaty areas. In some people, intake of sugary foods may indirectly promote fungal growth on the skin. To help relieve symptoms, avoid spicy, oily, and sugary foods for a while and observe if symptoms improve. Eat small, regular meals and do not lie down immediately after eating. Keep the groin area clean and dry, and wear loose cotton underwear to reduce moisture and irritation. If your symptoms persist, worsen, or become frequent, please consult a doctor for proper examination and treatment.
