I am experiencing skin dryness, excessive sweating, and wrinkles. What could be causing these changes in my skin?
Skin dryness, excessive sweating, and wrinkles together can happen due to several reasons, and often it is a combination of lifestyle, skin ageing, weather, stress, or underlying health issues. Dehydration, poor nutrition, lack of sleep, and frequent sun exposure can make the skin dry and wrinkled, while stress and hormonal changes may increase sweating. In some people, conditions like thyroid imbalance, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, or side effects of certain medicines can also contribute to these changes. Using harsh soaps, hot water, or over-cleansing the skin may worsen dryness and irritation. A gentle moisturiser, regular water intake, and avoiding very hot showers can help improve the skin barrier. Wearing breathable cotton clothes and staying in a cool environment may reduce excessive sweating. If these symptoms are persistent or worsening, it is a good idea to get a medical check-up, especially if there are other symptoms like weight changes, fatigue, hair fall, or itching. Blood tests may sometimes be needed to look for underlying causes and guide proper treatment.
