I take Idrofos 150 mg once a month. Is this the correct dosage, and are there any side effects I should be aware of?

Yes, Idrofos 150 mg taken once monthly is the correct standard dosage for osteoporosis. To prevent throat irritation and ensure absorption, you must take it first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water on an empty stomach, and remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 60 minutes before eating or drinking. Common side effects include heartburn, acid reflux, stomach upset, and mild joint or muscle pain. Although rare, serious side effects can include severe oesophageal irritation or jawbone issues. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty swallowing, severe chest pain, or unusual hip or thigh pain.
