Night-time itching that temporarily improves after taking Incid-L may be due to an allergy, eczema, dry skin, scabies, a fungal infection, heat-related irritation, or sensitivity to soaps, fabrics or medicines. Itching often feels worse at night because the skin becomes warmer and there are fewer distractions, making the irritation more noticeable. If the itching keeps returning daily, the underlying trigger may still be active. The pattern of itching is important. Scabies commonly causes intense itching at night, with small bumps or marks around the fingers, waist, wrists, or groin, while allergy-related itching may appear as red,, raised patches or occur after exposure to food, dust, or medication. Dry skin and eczema can also lead to repeated scratching and disturbed sleep. Relief may improve with regular moisturisers, anti-allergic medicines, gentle soaps, loose cotton clothing, and identifying possible triggers. If there are visible burrows, family members with itching, spreading rashes, or skin thickening from scratching, skin-specific treatment may be needed rather than only antihistamine tablets.
