I have been suffering from acne on my forehead for the past 2 years. I am currently using Kaylite cream for it. Is this the correct treatment for my condition?

Kaylite cream contains hydroquinone, mometasone, and tretinoin. This combination is usually prescribed to reduce dark spots and pigmentation caused by melasma, not for long-term acne (pimple) treatment. Using it continuously for 2 years without medical supervision may not be safe. Mometasone is a steroid, and prolonged use on the face may worsen acne, thin the skin, increase redness, and cause small visible blood vessels or steroid-related pimples. Tretinoin may help reduce acne by unclogging pores. Hydroquinone may help lighten acne marks, but it is not meant for regular long-term use. For forehead acne, it is important to keep the skin clean, avoid oily hair products, wash the face gently twice daily, and avoid touching or squeezing pimples. A mild acne treatment containing adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, or salicylic acid may be more suitable, depending on the severity of your acne. You should consult a dermatologist to review your current cream and choose a safer long-term acne treatment plan.
