I am experiencing severe hair fall after a C-section delivery, and my baby is now 3 months old. How can I control it?
Severe hair fall 2-4 months after delivery (including C-section) is very common and is called postpartum hair fall. It happens due to hormonal changes and usually improves on its own within a few months. You can manage it by eating a healthy diet rich in protein, iron, and vitamins, continuing your postnatal supplements, and avoiding stress and harsh hair treatments. Use a mild shampoo and avoid tight hairstyles. If the hair fall is excessive or lasts beyond 6-8 months, consult a doctor to check for iron or thyroid deficiency.
