L-Skin face wash contains brightening ingredients such as kojic acid, vitamin C and glutathione, which can help improve skin radiance and even tone, explaining the visible glow. However, with frequent daily use, especially in sensitive skin, these actives may contribute to dryness or increased sensitivity over time. Therefore, it is generally advisable to use it a few times per week and alternate with a gentle cleanser on other days, along with regular moisturizing and sun protection. For personalized guidance, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist once, who can assess the skin through appropriate evaluation and advise a tailored treatment plan best suited to individual skin needs.

Kojic acid in L-Skin Face Wash can increase skin sensitivity and potentially thin the skin barrier, making it more prone to sunlight damage and blemishes despite using moisturizer and sunscreen.

  1. Effects of Kojic Acid on Skin Barrier

    • Kojic acid helps reduce pigmentation but may cause mild irritation or thinning of the skin barrier in some people, leading to increased sensitivity.
  2. Impact of Sun Exposure and Photosensitivity

    • Kojic acid can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, so consistent use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen like Sblock Gold is essential to prevent damage.
  3. Role of Moisturizers and Sunscreens

    • Olesoft Lite moisturizer supports skin barrier repair and hydration, while Sblock Gold sunscreen protects against UV-induced damage, both helping to mitigate sensitivity.
  4. Signs of Skin Barrier Damage

    • Blemishes, redness, dryness, or an unnatural glow can indicate barrier disruption and increased sensitivity.
  5. Recommendations for Safe Use

    • Use L-Skin Face Wash in moderation (e.g., once daily), perform a patch test before regular use, and monitor your skin’s reaction closely.
  6. When to Consult a Dermatologist

    • If you notice persistent irritation, worsening blemishes, or sensitivity despite protective measures, see a dermatologist for personalized advice.
  7. Alternative Options

    • Consider gentler face washes without kojic acid or with lower concentrations if sensitivity continues.

Consulting a dermatologist will help tailor your skincare routine safely and effectively.
