I'm taking regular medication for ringworm, including itraconazole, terbinafine, and LCZ, but it won't go away. What else can I do?
A dermatologist should reevaluate with a skin scraping (KOH test) if ringworm persists despite itraconazole and terbinafine. This could be because of an inaccurate diagnosis, reinfection, resistance, or insufficient time. Stay away of steroid-combination lotions, keep the region dry, treat close contacts, wash garments separately, and adhere to the recommended stringent antifungal routine.
