If your daughter has been taking Livoluk 5 ml twice daily for 3 days without improvement, the dose may sometimes need adjustment depending on her age, weight, diet, and severity of constipation. However, the dose should not be increased without pediatric advice. Ensure she drinks enough water and include fiber-rich foods, fruits, and vegetables if age-appropriate. Some children may take a few days longer to respond to lactulose. Please consult a pediatrician if there is severe abdominal pain, vomiting, bloating, blood in stools, fever, or no bowel movement despite treatment, as another treatment or evaluation may be needed.
