I have had knee joint pain for the past 5 years and my X-ray shows a gap in the joints. I am currently taking Lubrijoint 750 mg tablets. Can you suggest a safe medicine for knee pain without any side effects?

Hello. Lubrijoint (Glucosamine) is generally safe for supporting joint cartilage, though its pain-relief effects vary. Please note that no oral medication is completely free of side effects. For safer pain relief with minimal systemic side effects, topical pain-relief gels (like Diclofenac gel) applied directly to the knee are highly recommended. For oral pain relief, Paracetamol is relatively safe for the stomach when taken in moderation, provided you have no liver issues. However, the safest and most effective long-term treatment without side effects is physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around your knee. Please consult your orthopedician before changing your medication regimen.
