I have been suffering from a high fever since morning and have been taking Macfast. What other medicine should I take if the fever does not reduce?
Macfast contains paracetamol, which is effective for reducing fever. Do not take any other paracetamol-containing brands to avoid a dangerous overdose. Ensure you are taking the correct dosage (usually every 4 to 6 hours, not exceeding 4 grams daily). If the fever persists, you can do tepid sponging (wiping your forehead and body with lukewarm water) and stay hydrated. Please do not self-medicate with other drugs like Ibuprofen or antibiotics without a prescription. If your high fever does not reduce within 24 to 48 hours, or if you develop severe headaches, breathing difficulty, or rashes, consult a doctor immediately for a proper diagnosis.
