I am a central serous chorioretinopathy patient and doctor has advised me to take Macugold Plus daily before bed since past 1 month. But I have noticed that my sleep has infact reduced than before every time i take this tablet. esp. when i wake up at night to pass urine, then I am alert and cannot fall asleep again. I have tried using dark glasses to avoid light on eyes but that has been ineffective too. also sometimes I am simply awake instead of deeper sleep even without passing urine (Switching lights). What could be the reason and what is the solution?

It sounds like you're experiencing reduced sleep and alertness possibly related to your current supplement and nighttime urination.
Here are some key points to consider:
Macugold Plus Ingredients: This supplement contains melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles. While melatonin generally helps improve sleep, individual responses vary. Sometimes, melatonin can cause vivid dreams or disrupt sleep patterns in some people.
Nighttime Urination (Nocturia): Waking up to urinate can fragment your sleep, leading to reduced alertness and feeling less rested. This interruption itself can significantly impact sleep quality regardless of supplements.
Dark Glasses: Wearing dark glasses may help with light sensitivity but won’t directly improve sleep disrupted by waking up at night.
