I have had severe pain on the right side of my head with giddiness for the last 15 days. Is this something serious, and which doctor should I consult?
Pain on one side of the head, along with giddiness for more than two weeks, can happen due to migraine, cervical muscle strain, sinus problems, stress, inner ear imbalance, nerve irritation, high blood pressure, or prolonged screen exposure. In some people, the dizziness feels like spinning, while others describe it as heaviness, imbalance, or lightheadedness. Lack of sleep, dehydration, anxiety, and irregular meals can also make these symptoms continue longer. Since the pain is mainly on the right side and has been present for 15 days, it is better not to ignore it completely. Resting properly, reducing screen time, drinking enough fluids, and avoiding loud noise or bright light may help if the problem is migraine-related. Sudden neck movements, excessive travel, or long working hours may also worsen giddiness in some cases. Medicines used for headache or vertigo should only be taken after proper medical advice because treatment depends on the exact reason behind the symptoms. Inform your doctor if vomiting, blurred vision, weakness, speech difficulty, fever, or worsening dizziness start along with the headache.
