I am using monocef 200, twice in a month, regularly, for folliculitis, ie skin infection on the back head. Now, no skin infection found...but, if I stop the medicine, it will again developed. Is any health problem arises, if i continuously consume this medicine, twice in a month...??? Kindly guide me, please...
Since you don’t have an active infection, taking antibiotics “just in case” is not safe. If folliculitis keeps recurring, it’s best to consult a dermatologist, who can run the appropriate tests to identify the root cause. Based on the results, they will recommend the most suitable treatment plan. Regular follow-up will help monitor progress, adjust medicines if needed, and avoid unnecessary long-term antibiotic use.
