  5. I have been using Morr 5% (Minoxidil) once a day for hair fall instead of Morr 3% twice a day. While it has helped me over the past four months, I have developed facial hair. Is the 5% once-daily dose equivalent to the 3% twice-daily dose, and how should I manage this side effect?

Minoxidil 5% once daily is therapeutically comparable to 3% twice daily, offering similar efficacy with better convenience. However, the higher 5% concentration increases the risk of unwanted facial hair (hypertrichosis), usually caused by mild systemic absorption or accidental transfer to your face via hands or pillowcases. To manage this: 1. Apply it at least two hours before bed so it dries completely, preventing transfer to your pillow. 2. Wash your hands and forehead thoroughly after application. If the facial hair remains bothersome, consult your dermatologist about switching back to a lower strength (like 2% or 3%). This unwanted hair typically sheds within a few months of reducing the dosage.
