I have been experiencing irritation in both eyes for the last two months. I wear -0.75 glasses and have already tried prescribed Lubrex and Myticom eye drops, but the problem persists. What alternative eye drops or medical treatment would you recommend?

Since Lubrex (lubricant) and Myticom (steroid/antibiotic) haven't resolved your symptoms, your irritation might be due to chronic dry eye, preservative sensitivity, or eyelid inflammation (blepharitis). I recommend switching to preservative-free artificial tears (like Systane Ultra UD) to avoid chemical irritation. Additionally, applying a warm compress to your closed eyes for 5-10 minutes daily can help soothe irritation. Please stop using Myticom, as prolonged steroid use can be harmful. I strongly advise consulting an ophthalmologist for a slit-lamp examination; you may need prescription anti-inflammatory drops like Cyclosporine, or specific allergy drops if an environmental trigger is identified.
