Before seven years ago, I underwent reconstructive surgery for flame burn injuries to my hands and forearms. My hands can't move as freely as they used to. Even if I follow the recommended physiotherapy methods, I don't notice much improvement. Kindly recommend precise physiotherapy steps to regain normal movement of my hands and fingers.

Recovery from serious burns and reconstructive surgery is frequently gradual and requires frequent physical therapy and hand exercises because stiffness and thick scar tissue can restrict hand and finger movement for many years. Flexibility can be gradually increased by gentle daily stretching of the fingers, wrist, and forearm, repeated hand opening and closing, finger-by-finger bending exercises, squeezing a soft therapy ball, soaking hands in warm water before exercise, and massaging scars. Exercising on your own at home is typically less beneficial than receiving hand therapy from a specialist physiotherapist or plastic surgery rehabilitation team. You could require a reevaluation for tendon tightness, scar contracture, splints, or more corrective measures if your movement is significantly limited or getting worse.
