I am experiencing abdominal pain, a burning sensation, and loose motions. How can I treat it?
Abdominal pain with a burning sensation and loose motions is usually due to a stomach infection. Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, ORS, coconut water, or clear soups to prevent dehydration. Eat light, easy-to-digest foods like rice, curd, bananas, and khichdi, and avoid spicy, oily, or outside food for a few days. You can take probiotics or over-the-counter medicines for loose motions if needed, but avoid self-medicating too much. If symptoms are severe, last more than 2-3 days, or you notice fever, blood in stools, or weakness, consult a doctor promptly.
