Please do not give any additional medications without consulting your pediatrician. Flexon (ibuprofen and paracetamol) and Oflomac (an antibiotic) are already strong medications. A recurring fever despite these treatments means your child needs a physical evaluation to find the root cause, which may be a viral illness (where antibiotics do not work) or a different bacterial infection. Meanwhile, keep your child well-hydrated with breast milk, water, or ORS, and use tepid sponging (lukewarm water) to help lower the temperature. Seek immediate medical attention if your child becomes unusually lethargic, has difficulty breathing, develops a rash, or refuses to drink fluids.
