I take Olmesar A 20/5 and Metoprolol 25 in the morning at 8 am, and my blood pressure stays normal till evening, but then rises to 180 and sometimes 200 by early morning. What should I do to control my blood pressure?
A rise in blood pressure at night or in the early morning may occur if the effects of medicines do not last long enough. Take your medicines regularly and limit salt, late heavy meals, alcohol, and evening stress. Maintain regular sleep and light daily physical activity if possible. Consult your doctor, as the timing or dose of your medicines may need adjustment to achieve better control.
