I have been experiencing double vision. How should it be treated?
Double vision can be caused by problems with your eye muscles, the nerves that control your eyes, or underlying neurological conditions. You should see an eye doctor promptly to determine the cause and receive appropriate treatment. Depending on the diagnosis, your doctor may recommend corrective glasses, eye exercises, medications, or surgery. Until you are examined, avoid driving or operating machinery, rest your eyes, and use artificial tears only if needed. If your double vision starts suddenly or is accompanied by headache, weakness, difficulty speaking, or facial drooping, seek emergency care immediately.
