I have swelling around a ligament, but my MRI and CT scan reports are normal. What could be the reason for this swelling?
If your MRI and CT scans are normal, the swelling around a ligament is usually due to a mild strain, overuse, or soft tissue inflammation that may not always show on scans. It can also be from minor injury, fluid buildup, or early tendon/ligament irritation. You can try rest, avoiding strain, using ice or a warm compress, and gentle support with a bandage. If the swelling persists or worsens, consult a doctor or physiotherapist for further evaluation and targeted treatment.
