I am experiencing postmenopausal symptoms such as sudden outbursts of anger, emotional instability, and crying easily. Additionally, my blood pressure and blood sugar are not well controlled. I am currently taking Glycomet-PG 2 and Metosartan for blood pressure. Please suggest any medications to help manage these symptoms.
Your emotional symptoms may be related to hormonal changes after menopause, but uncontrolled blood pressure and blood sugar can also worsen mood swings and irritability. It is important to stabilise your blood pressure and blood sugar first. Lifestyle measures such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and stress management can help. Your doctor may consider low-dose hormone therapy or certain antidepressants if your symptoms are severe, but any new medication should be discussed with your doctor before starting.
