My 4.5-year-old son has had a mild fever since this morning (99–100°F) with no other symptoms. Should I give P 250 suspension?

A temperature of 99–100°F in a child is a low-grade fever and often does not require medicine if the child is otherwise active, eating, and comfortable. Paracetamol (P 250 suspension) is usually given only when the child is uncomfortable, irritable, or has a higher fever (typically≥100.4°F or 38°C). If needed, dosing must be based on the child’s weight, not just age, and should follow a doctor’s or label’s instructions. At this stage, you can focus on providing fluids, keeping clothing light, and monitoring temperature regularly. If the fever rises, lasts more than 2–3 days, or other symptoms (vomiting, rash, breathing difficulty, lethargy) appear, consult a paediatrician promptly.
