A sore throat with a mild fever of around 100°F (approximately 37.8°C) is usually caused by a viral infection. You can help yourself feel better by drinking plenty of warm fluids, doing gentle steam inhalation, and gargling with warm salt water to soothe the throat. Resting adequately is important to allow your body to recover. For fever or pain, you can take Paracetamol as needed, following the recommended dose. Avoid cold, spicy, or oily foods, and continue to stay well hydrated. If the fever persists beyond a few days, worsens, or is accompanied by severe throat pain, difficulty swallowing, or breathing problems, consult a doctor promptly for proper evaluation.
