I have a loose and sagging abdomen and breasts after having two children, both delivered by cesarean section. My weight is 57 kg, and my height is 152 cm. My body no longer feels firm or toned. What can I do to improve my body shape and regain firmness?
After pregnancy and cesarean delivery, many women notice that their tummy and breasts become loose or less firm. This happens because the skin and muscles stretch during pregnancy, and the body needs time to recover afterwards. Hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, and weaker muscles can also make the body feel softer than before. The best way to improve body shape is through regular exercise, healthy eating, and patience, as recovery takes time. Gentle activities such as walking, yoga, pelvic floor exercises, and light strength training can help strengthen the abdominal and body muscles. Eating a balanced diet with enough protein, fruits, vegetables, and plenty of water may also support muscle strength and skin health. Try to avoid rapid weight loss, as crash dieting can sometimes make loose skin more noticeable. Some women develop separation of the abdominal muscles after pregnancy, called diastasis recti. In such cases, specific physiotherapy exercises may help. If the looseness or sagging is severe or causing distress, you should consult a gynaecologist or plastic surgeon to discuss further treatment options.
