I have psoriasis on my palms and feet, and my RA factor is negative. I am using Propysalic NF ointment, which controls the symptoms, but they return after stopping it. Is there any treatment that can help manage this problem long-term?

Psoriasis on the palms and feet can be long-lasting because the skin in these areas is thick and exposed to constant pressure and friction. Symptoms often improve with medicines and then return again after stopping treatment because psoriasis is an immune-related skin condition that tends to flare repeatedly. A negative RA factor only means rheumatoid arthritis was not detected and does not rule out psoriasis. Propysalic NF ointment may reduce scaling, itching, and inflammation during flare-ups, but long-term control usually also requires regular moisturization, trigger control, and maintenance treatment. Stress, smoking, skin injury, infections, and harsh chemicals may worsen symptoms. Thick moisturisers, gentle skin care, and avoiding excessive friction on the palms and feet may help reduce flare frequency. Some people may require vitamin D creams, stronger prescription medicines, phototherapy, or immune-modifying treatment for better long-term control. Consult your doctor if symptoms are spreading, painful, or affecting walking and daily activities.
