I have a lot of dandruff, and my hair is falling a lot, especially from the front. Even after regular oiling and care, it is not improving. What treatment or medicine can help me control this and regrow my hair?
Heavy dandruff with increased hair fall, especially from the front of the scalp, may be due to fungal scalp overgrowth, oily scalp, stress, poor sleep, nutritional deficiency, hormonal imbalance, hard water exposure, or hereditary hair thinning. Persistent dandruff can inflame the scalp, weaken hair roots, and worsen shedding over time. Frontal hair thinning may also suggest androgen-related hair loss in some people. Anti-dandruff shampoos containing ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulfide may help reduce scalp fungus, itching, flakes, and inflammation. Hair regrowth treatment may include scalp lotions, minoxidil-based solutions, nutritional supplements, a protein-rich diet, and correction of vitamin D, iron, vitamin B12, or thyroid imbalance if present. Regular scalp cleansing, stress control, hydration, proper sleep, and avoiding excessive heat styling or harsh hair products may also support healthier hair growth gradually. Heavy oiling may sometimes worsen dandruff in oily scalp conditions, so balanced scalp hygiene is important. Hair regrowth is usually gradual and may take several months with consistent treatment and scalp care. Inform a doctor if bald patches increase rapidly, severe itching or redness appear, or hair thinning continues despite treatment.
