I have been using Relibeta (interferon beta-1a) injections for multiple sclerosis since August 2016. Are there any other medications, treatments, or alternative options available to help manage or cure my condition?
While there is currently no cure for multiple sclerosis, many excellent options exist to manage it effectively. Since you started Relibeta (interferon beta-1a) in 2016, several newer treatments have become available. These include daily oral medications like dimethyl fumarate or teriflunomide, and highly effective periodic infusions like ocrelizumab or natalizumab. Beyond medication, regular physical therapy, a balanced diet, and active symptom management can significantly improve your quality of life. I highly recommend discussing these newer, highly effective alternatives with your neurologist to see if a different approach is right for you at this stage of your journey.
