I injured my leg while playing badminton and am experiencing pain; what medicine or pain relief ointment should I use?
For immediate relief, follow the RICE protocol: Rest your leg, apply Ice wrapped in a towel for 15 minutes, use a Compression bandage, and elevate your leg. For pain and inflammation, you can take over-the-counter oral ibuprofen or paracetamol. Applying a topical diclofenac gel or ibuprofen gel to the area can also provide targeted relief. Avoid massaging the injured site. If you experience severe swelling, visible deformity, or are completely unable to bear weight on your leg, please visit a doctor for a physical evaluation to rule out any serious ligament or bone injury.
