I am 6 months pregnant, and I was earlier taking Richar CR iron tablets. Since it was not available, I started taking Richar CR 100, but for the last 3 to 4 days, it has been causing vomiting. Is it safe for me to take Richar CR 100, and what is the difference between these two medicines?
Richar CR and Richar CR 100 are iron supplements used to treat or prevent anaemia during pregnancy. The difference is mainly the strength of iron in the tablet, and the higher dose may sometimes cause stomach upset or vomiting. Taking the tablet after food and with plenty of water may help reduce this problem. Consult your doctor if vomiting continues so the medicine or dose can be adjusted safely during pregnancy.
