I have a dry cough and cold. Should I take a syrup containing Levosalbutamol or Terbutaline? I already have Salbetol-LS syrup. Can I use it?
Both Levosalbutamol and Terbutaline are bronchodilators used for asthma and other respiratory conditions, but they may not be the best choice for a dry cough and cold. Salbetol-LS syrup, which contains Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol, and Guaifenesin, is used to relieve a productive (wet) cough by loosening mucus and easing airway obstruction. However, for a dry cough, these syrups may not be suitable and may sometimes worsen throat irritation. It?s advisable to consult a doctor before using it, as a simple cough suppressant may be more appropriate.
