I have had dryness inside my nose for the past 5 days, and the mucus has become hard and difficult to clear. Could you please suggest suitable nasal drops for my condition?
Dryness and hard mucus in the nose are usually due to dry air, dehydration, allergies, or dust irritation. It can often be managed at home with simple care. Use isotonic saline nasal drops or a saline spray several times a day, as this helps soften mucus and keep the nose moist. Steam inhalation once or twice daily can also loosen crusts and improve comfort. Drinking enough water throughout the day is important to prevent further dryness. Using a room humidifier, especially while sleeping, may also help. If the inside of the nose feels very dry, a saline nasal gel can provide longer-lasting moisture. Avoid picking or forcefully removing the dried mucus, as this may cause bleeding. Do not use medicated decongestant drops unless prescribed by a doctor. Seek medical advice if your symptoms persist beyond one week, or if there is pain, bleeding, fever, or foul-smelling discharge.
