ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN belongs to a class of drug known as genitourinary tract agent primarily used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (overgrowth of the prostate gland, a gland situated between the bladder and penis). Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common illness as men get older. An inflamed prostate gland can cause unpleasant urinary symptoms, like preventing the urine flow out of the bladder. It can also cause urinary tract, bladder, or kidney problems.
ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN is a combination of two medicines: Alfuzosin (alpha-blockers) and Solifenacin (antimuscarinic). Alfuzosin works by blocking the action of alpha-1 receptors and causes smooth muscle relaxation in the bladder and prostate (a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis). Solifenacin works by inhibiting contraction of the smooth muscle wall surrounding the bladder, resulting in decrease bladder activity. This helps to control the release of urine and helps reduce your symptoms. Collectively, both of them improve the symptoms of Benign Hyperplasia Prostate (BPH).
Take ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience dizziness, headache, tiredness, dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, constipation, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk). Most of these side effects of ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Drug Warnings
Do not take ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN if you are allergic to ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN or any of the ingredients. Women or children should not take $ name. Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction: ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN interacts with medicines used to treat high blood pressure (prazosin, terazosin, verapamil, diltiazem, amiodarone), drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction (sildenafil, vardenafil, tadalafil), azole antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole), HIV protease inhibitor (lopinavir, ritonavir, indinavir), blood thinners (warfarin), antibiotics (erythromycin), NSAIDs (diclofenac, ibuprofen, indomethacin).
Drug-Food Interaction: ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN may interact with grapefruit juice, alcohol, and tobacco. This may cause more side effects than it normally does. So, a ALFUZOSIN+SOLIFENACIN should not be taken along with them.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): is an enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate is a small, muscular gland in the male reproductive system. It is a common condition as men get older (50-60 years). It occurs when the cells of the prostate gland begin to multiply. In an enlarged prostate gland, the bladder wall becomes thicker, and the bladder may weaken and lose the ability to empty fully, leaving some urine in the bladder.
