Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride belongs to the class of medicines called alpha adrenergic agonists used to treat acquired blepharoptosis. Also, it relieves eye redness due to irritants or allergic conditions. Blepharoptosis is the abnormal lowering or drooping of the upper eyelid.
Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride contains ‘oxymetazoline hydrochloride’ that works by elevating the eyelid by activating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the Muller’s muscle in the eyelid.
Use Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride as recommended by a health care professional. Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride is only for use in the eyes. In some cases, you may experience eye pain, eye irritation, increased eye pressure, dry eye, blurred vision, and pupil size variations.
