Sovateltide

About Sovateltide

Sovateltide belongs to the class of endothelin B receptor agonists used in the treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke. Cerebral ischemic stroke is a condition in which the lack of blood supply to the brain stops brain tissue from obtaining oxygen and nutrients, resulting in potential brain damage, neurological impairments, or death.

Sovateltide contains sovateltide, a neural progenitor cell therapeutic agent. It works by stimulating neural progenitor cells to create neurovascular remodelling. This produces new neurons and blood vessels, thus increasing cerebral blood flow and anti-cell death activity.

Sovateltide will be administered by a trained healthcare professional. Do not self administer. This medicine may cause side effects like abdominal discomfort, vomiting, sweating and uneasiness. These side effects generally occur when administered in higher doses. However, inform your doctor immediately if you observe any such side effects.

Sovateltide should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Before receiving the medicine, inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions like acute or chronic subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, epidural hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, intracerebral hematoma, or intraventricular hemorrhage, and liver/kidney disease. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting the treatment.

Uses of Sovateltide

Sovateltide is used in the treatment of treatment of ischemic stroke and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The detailed uses of Sovateltide are as follows:<br/> • Treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke: Sovateltide treats cerebral ischemic stroke by enhancing neuroregeneration and improving blood flow to the affected area of the brain.<br/> • Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH): Sovateltide can potentially alleviate Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) by relaxing and widening pulmonary arteries, reducing blood pressure.<br/> • Neuroprotection: Sovateltide shields brain cells from damage and enhances mitochondrial function for better energy production.<br/>

Medicinal Benefits

Sovateltide is used in the treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke. It contains sovateltide, a neural progenitor cell therapeutic agent. It works by stimulating neural progenitor cells to create neurovascular remodelling. This produces new neurons and blood vessels, thus increasing cerebral blood flow and anti-cell death activity. Sovateltide has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cell death properties, which may help stroke victims regain their neurological and motor function by reducing brain cell death.
