After eating, food comes up my oesophagus, causing discomfort, even though I do not have any digestion problems. This occurs even when I eat mild foods. Could it be related to acid reflux or a more serious condition?
The feeling of food coming back up, called regurgitation, is usually a primary symptom of acid reflux or gastresophageal reflux disease (GERD). However, if it happens often or without any acid taste, it may be due to a movement problem, such as achalasia, or another structural issue in your oesophagus. Please see your doctor to rule out any serious underlying conditions.
