I have throat and sinus allergies, throat wheezing, and snoring, but my chest is clear. I am currently taking Formoflo inhaler, Spiromont FA, and Bigbro. Are these medications appropriate for my condition, and what treatment adjustments do you suggest?
Your current medications including your steroid/bronchodilator inhaler (fluticasone/formoterol), allergy tablet (fexofenadine/montelukast), and airway clearance medication (acebrophylline) are appropriate for managing combined upper and lower airway issues. Because your chest is clear, your throat wheezing and snoring likely stem from nasal congestion or post-nasal drip rather than lung trouble. To improve your symptoms, your doctor might suggest adding a steroid nasal spray to directly reduce nasal inflammation. Please do not change your medication regimen without consulting your treating physician, who may also recommend a sleep study to evaluate your snoring.
