If it’s prescribed for Oral LP, you should wash your hands, gently clean your mouth, and apply a thin layer of the tacrolimus 0.1% ointment directly to the affected area using a finger or cotton swab. Do not swallow it, and avoid eating or drinking for 20–30 minutes afterwards. Usually, it’s applied 1–2 times a day as your doctor advises, and contact your doctor if irritation, worsening, or infection occurs.
